Communication Officer


Job Description

  • Adapt the Socfin Group’s Corporate Communication Strategy to the local context in order to anticipate,  guide and  plan internal and external communication;
  • Build a local external communication plan to ensure a coordinated and proactive way of communication;
  • Implement SoP and structure for internal communication that ensures and registers communication flows: inside the local company and with the Group;
  • Adapt and implement SoP for external communication to ensure a standardised external communication across the plantation and the Group;
  • Provide advice in public relation area to the General management of … (If needed, will be the spokesman to the press:
  1. Manage relation and contact with International and local press, NGOs, stakeholders, shareholder, lobby groups, etc;
  2. Carry out a media monitoring: create a national & international African/Asian daily press review;
  3. Attendant and/or plantation spokesperson in press conference, events, workshops and so on;
  • Active involvement in annual report writing;
  • Training of staff in using tools and external communication;
  • Follow up the plantation’s social & environmental action plan as well as agronomic and industrial activities and steps.

Profile

  • A communication degree or equivalent
  • Experience in the usage of computers and office software packages (Microsoft & Adobe suites)
  • French and/or English, being bilingual is an advantage

Experience required

  • Minimum 5 years of experience
  • Used to work in multicultural environment;
  • Proven track record of assuming responsibilities of similar size and complexity
  • Experience in a similar environment is a advantage
