Our subsidiary has set itself the task of developing oil palm seeds resulting from a selection program that ensures better tree productivity while limiting the use of phytosanitary products through increased disease resistance.

Established in Cameroon in 2014, Camseeds works in close collaboration with the second laboratory of the Socfin Group, which is based in Indonesia since 1913 and one of the first agro-industrial players conducting applied research in agronomy.

Seed improvement is one of our research’s major challenges, as we must meet the growing need for vegetable oil while preserving the environment and people. We seek to:

• Increase tree productivity (avoiding the use of GMOs);
• Limit the use of plant protection products by improving disease resistance;
• Achieve higher crop yields per hectare
