ISO 9000 implementation

The Socfin Group has decided to certify its rubber factories according to the ISO 9000 standard in order to ensure that both internal quality requirements and customer needs are always met.

The Socfin Group is committed to always foreseeing its clients' needs and even to exceed their expectations.

As a leader in the implementation of quality criteria, the Socfin Group has decided to certify its rubber factories according to the ISO 9000 standard in order to ensure that both internal quality requirements and customer needs are always met.

The ISO 9000 family of standards relate to quality management systems and are designed to help organizations ensure they meet the needs of customers and other stakeholders. That proper quality management gives the following advantages:

  1. Create a more efficient and effective operation
  2. Increase customer satisfaction and retention
  3. Reduce audits
  4. Enhance marketing
  5. Improve employee motivation, awareness and morale
  6. Promote international trade
  7. Increase productivity and profit
  8. Reduce environmental impact
  9. Allow continuous improvements

In 2009, LAC as the first Liberian rubber factory to be ISO 9001:2008 certified. Subsequent surveillance audits have always been a success. SRC, the Group's other rubber factory in Liberia, is ISO-certified since early 2011.

OKOMU in Nigeria is currently involved in the ISO 9001 process and will incorporate ISO 14001 requirements as well. Their rubber factory should be certified before the end of the year.
