Partnership with Earthworm

Socfin has collaborated actively with EF (Earthworm Foundation) since 2016 and became a member of this foundation in 2017.

This partnership enables us to combine our expertise in tropical agriculture and our sustainability approach in the field, with the experience of EF in managing social and environmental issues specific to the region where we operate.

EF has great experience in managing relations with local and international stakeholders in particular (communities, associations, organizations, etc.).

Together, we have achieved the following results:

• Formalization of our commitments with a code outlining our responsible management policy;
• Implementation of our policy in our plantations, through field missions of our teams;
• Development and implementation of our grievance management procedure. This procedure as well as all recorded external grievances are available online, allowing for follow-up in full transparency. This platform was developed together with EF, which also supports us with the analysis of the grievances and the development of adequate solutions.

This partnership helps us advance in achieving our sustainability goals, corresponding moreover to Earthworm’s mission.
