Land Dialogue and Independent Mediation
Like many long-term agricultural operators, the Socfin Group faces complex land tenure situations inherited from the past.
In Cambodia, an independent mediation process recognised by the Mekong Region Land Governance programme made it possible to sustainably resolve land disputes with the Bunong communities, leading to the signing of 26 agreements between 2018 and 2021 and a Joint Statement in 2022.
In Cameroon, a State-led institutional process, conducted in collaboration with local communities, is underway to clarify land boundaries, reduce conflicts of use and promote peaceful coexistence with neighbouring populations.
In both countries, the Group prioritises dialogue, transparency and sustainable solutions, in line with its commitments to social and environmental responsibility.
